I am a third-year student refined with time, becoming more confident in my abilities as I move closer to my future. My goal is to find a career with opportunities to help people, something that both fufills my desire to do work I am proud of, but also put more positivity into the world. Working not only for my sake, but for others as well. I’m confident that I can use my communication skills to work with others, for the sake of cooperation that will help problem-solving come more naturally. What sets me apart from others is my creativity in approaching different situations, I both understand protocol and am able to think outside the box. I know what it’s like to be marginalized, and understand the importance of where my mind needs to be in the different workplaces I want to participate in.
GOALS
OVER THE NEXT 3 YEARS, I AM WORKING TO:
- Obtain my bachelor of arts, majoring in psychology with my extended minor in Latin American studies
- Engage with more volunteer work to add breadth to my current experience
- Research more into contemporary social issues to be closer to potential clients
- Get involved with working in a job that uses my degree, both for experience but also to dip my toes into potential places where I might be happy to devote more time to.
- Finalize my education plan to either continue my education to work towards getting a masters degree or PhD, or deciding on something smaller scale.
